Reaching Deeper into an Unprecedented Construction Reality

There is a lot that human beings can do well, and yet there is little we do better than growing on a consistent basis. This tendency to grow under all circumstances has empowered us to hit upon some huge milestones, with technology emerging as quite a major member of the stated group. The reason why we hold technology in such a high regard is, by and large, predicated upon its skill-set, which realized all the possibilities for us that nobody could ever imagined otherwise. Nevertheless, if we take a closer look, it will quickly become clear how the whole runner was also very much inspired from the way we applied those skills across a real world environment. The latter component actually did a lot to give the creation a spectrum-wide presence and start what was a full-blown tech revolution. Of course, this revolution then went on to scale up the human experience through several unique avenues, but even after achieving a feat so notable, technology will somehow continue to produce the right goods. The same has grown to become more evident over the recent past, and assuming a new construction-related move pans out just like we envision, it will only propel that trend towards far greater heights in the near future and beyond.

Develon, formerly known as Doosan construction equipment, has officially launched the next-generation tool carrier models, the DL200TC-7 and DL250TC-7, to complete its collection of seven series wheel loaders. According to certain reports, the tool carriers have a parallel-lift linkage system that gives operators control over a variety of attachments in applications other than loading, such as lift- and place-type applications. But as these features were also part of the previous 7 series’ models, what is so unique about the new carriers? Well, for starters, they boast visibility down the center of the parallel-lift arms, thus allowing operators to easily see the ground, truck or work area in front of the machine. Beyond that, the carriers feature a viewable glass area, full glass door, large mirrors, and optional LED work lights. Then, there is also a standard rearview camera which offers an additional view of the machine’s surroundings and appears on the 8-inch Smart Touch display inside the cab. Another detail bolstering the visibility aspect is the exclusive Transparent Bucket option that enables you to get a supplemental view “through the bucket”.

Moving on, we now talk about the carriers’ technological prowess. This facet is centered on two primary elements i.e. dynamic braking and speed management. With dynamic braking, every time operators remove their foot from the travel control pedal, the system will automatically reduce the flow of oil, causing the machine to slow down. As for speed management, it lets you adjust your maximum travel speed independently from engine speed. Among other technical features, the carriers have a creep function to fine-tune the loader’s position without having to press the accelerator pedal. Notably enough, in order to realize greater control and precision, their variable speed control delivers seven preset speeds within first gear. The carriers even boast an advanced traction control management system, which can be useful in configuring traction force to match jobsite conditions when digging, stockpiling, loading or conducting any other related task. However, this is still not all what the carriers will bring with them. You see, they would also bring a telematics system that will make it possible for fleet owners to check information like machine location, operating hours, fuel usage, engine idle versus work time, error codes, engine and hydraulic oil temperature, and various other data points.

Make no mistake; the intelligent nature of it shouldn’t imply any shortcomings about the carriers’ physical attributes. Both the models are provided large axles that help lift loads, while an optional reserve counterweight is expected to be accessible at all times. Develon has further equipped the carriers with wide radiator fin spacing and a standard reversible fan that clears dust, dirt, and other large debris so to prevent clogging. Staying on the physical attributes for a second, there is a high-lift configuration too that ensures the availability of dump height needed across processing plants, scrap and recycling facilities, and agricultural operations. On their own, both DL200TC-7 and DL250TC-7 have a dump height of around 2.7 meters, but they do enjoy the ability to go roughly 18 inches higher, if needed.
